Embroidery Market: Sarab Initiative & Social Support Society

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture (map)

Social Support Society will be exhibiting a selection of Palestinian embroidery including bags, cushions, pouches and more, produced by embroiderers from the Burj Al-Barajneh, Nahr Al-Bared and Shatila camps.

Since 2006, the Social Support Society has provided a vital support network for Palestinian seniors across the Burj Al-Barajneh, Nahr Al-Bared, and Shatila camps.
By offering creative activities, the project promotes mental and physical well-being while reconnecting elders with their Palestinian heritage. Ultimately, the center fosters a sense of purpose, empowering seniors to share their wisdom with younger generations and remain active, vibrant members of their community.

Sarab Initiative is a community-led project honoring Palestinian cultural heritage through the hands of artisans in the Palestinian camps of Lebanon.

All proceeds from the sales will go to support the ongoing activities of the Social Support Society in Lebanon.
