After discovering their late father left behind a fortune, sisters Mariam and Noura set aside their differences and hatch a plan to take the money before their brother — entitled to half the inheritance — learns of his death. This sharp, funny and thoughtful fable delves into the complexities of sisterhood and patriarchal law, offering a poignant critique on female empowerment within a conservative society.

Laila Abbas 
Laila Abbas is a Palestinian filmmaker and academic. She studied Film and TV producing at Royal Holloway University in the UK. Upon returning to Palestine, Laila worked as an instructor at the Institute of Modern Media at Alquds University for five years. Laila wrote and directed a documentary and a number of short fiction films. In 2016, Laila founded Young Oak Productions, a company that specializes in developing content for TV and cinema.
