Seeking to learn about her family history, a young woman sets out to question her mother, a filmmaker, about the story of her origins. While the stories told by the mother are initially plausible, they gradually become improbable and wild. Confused and skeptical, the daughter challenges them, questioning her mother about the meaning of passing down a fantasized collective memory.
