The Crossing by Ameen Nayfeh

When Shady and his sister Maryam were bursting with excitement to visit their ailing grandfather on the other side of the wall, their elder brother Mohammed rushed to their aid, armed with the necessary permit to cross. Upon reaching the checkpoint, they soon realized that merely possessing a permit might not always guarantee a smooth passage.

Born in Palestine in 1988, Ameen Nayfeh earned an MFA in film producing from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Jordan.

Ameen Nayfeh’s previous films include The Crossing (2017), Suspended Time/Zaman Muaalaq (2014), The Eid Gift (2012), The Uppercut (2012) and 200 Meters (2020).
